Dr. Sghiatti originally hails from the South and joined the Mohnacky team in 2018, after graduating with her DVM degree from the University of Georgia. She earned many distinctions in veterinary school, including awards for excellence in Companion Animal Nutrition and Parasitology, the Phi Zeta Outstanding Sophomore Award, and Zoetis and Bobby L. Johnson scholarships. Dr. Sghiatti believes that pets are one of the best parts of life and held various positions in the animal care field before becoming a veterinarian. Helping her patients heal and seeing them improve is her favorite thing about being a veterinarian, and she is particularly interested in integrative medicine, acupuncture, surgery, and feline medicine.
Dr. Sghiatti’s pets include Scooter, an orange tabby, and Melvin, a British shorthair mix. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, pickleball, puzzles, and reading.
