Heather Grehan

Hi! I’m Heather, the Executive Director of our Escondido location! I was born and raised in a small town outside of Memphis, Tennessee and I have lived in Southern California for 8 years now. I love the west coast, the food, the beaches and the people are all a part of the reason I love being here. I have a passion for helping the community and have found my calling in the career of helping animals and pet parents. I strive to give superior customer service and enjoy educating clients on pet care. I have 2 fur-babies of my own, Oliver and Simon, both of which were rescued and hold a very special place in my heart. Here at Mohnacky, we are more than just a team, we are a family and we hope to make you feel a part of our family too!

Holland

Hi! I’m Holland and I am a veterinary technician at the Escondido location. I grew up having all sorts of animals and always had an interest in working with them. I started out in Emergency/ICU for almost 8 years and then moved to general practice for the last 2 years. I have two dogs, Mia, a 16 yr old pittie mix and Veda, a 3 year old bull terrier.

Jason, RVT

Jason comes from San Bernardino but spent a lot of his youth years in Big Bear. It was never a dull moment with a household of dogs, cats, tarantulas, fish, and snakes. He once dreamt of digging up the past as an archaeologist (blame it on Indiana Jones), but his love for animals had other plans. Today, Jason holds an associate degree in Animal Health Technologies plus specialized training. He’s passionate about pet dentistry and educating clients about their beloved companions. At home, it’s all about his pals Lonestar, the Pomeranian, and Buttercup, the adorable Cockapoo. Jason and his spouse enjoy attending conventions like Comic-Con and Anime Expo. Jason’s a big kid at heart and explores Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge as frequently as possible.

Josue

I was born and raised in Southern California. Animals have always been an important aspect of my life. I have two kitties – Snickers and Fluffy, and the goofiest puppy, Buddy. Working for MAHE has been a rewarding experience for me.

Elizabeth

I’ve always had a strong bond with animals. Once I realized I wanted to help animals I started volunteering at animal shelters. I decided that I wanted to take my passion for animals and turn it into a career – I have a Veterinary Assistant certificate and am currently studying to become an RVT. I also have a passion for wildlife and have a wildlife handler’s certification. I can’t wait to help your furry family members and treat them as they are my own. I have two cats at home named Napoleon and Josephene who are my babies.

Lisa

Growing up in San Diego I always knew I had a passion for animals and when I got older I realized I wanted to turn that passion into a career. Here at MAHE I get that opportunity and I love helping everyone’s furry babies! I recently studied animal law and hope to become a RVT soon. At home I have a dog, Buddy and a tortoise named Dino.

Allison

I grew up in San Diego and I have always had a passion to work with animals and MAHE has given me the perfect opportunity to do so. I am currently working towards becoming an RVT. I can’t wait to help your animals feel better! I have two kitties at home – Duke and Callie and they are my babies.

Gabriel

I have always had an attachment for animals. I’d consider myself a dog person, but the feline friends are just as adorable. There’s always been a dog in the household. I was born in Santa Clara, California and raised in San Diego. Working for MAHE is not only fruitful but also an absolute honor. Outside of work you will catch me either at the beach or on a Brazilian Jiu-jistu mat.

Eric

Welcome, My name is Eric and I have been in the veterinary field for six years. Whether rooming clients and developing bonds with them, filling prescriptions for our furry friends or assisting the wonderful people here at Mohnacky, it has enriched my life and my experiences. My wife and I share our lives with 6 wonderful cats, which is sometimes tough however, their love and companionship outweighs the random spots and occasional vomiting. 

Mohnacky Animal Hospital Escondido shares these values; patience and care for animals, helping those who can’t help themselves and understanding of a wide range of medical care for your loved ones.

Nadia

Hello, my name is Nadia. I am here to help your pet with everything they need. If you have any Aussies or Heelers, I’m your girl! I love cats too! When I am not at work, you can find me at car shows with my Fiance, on hikes with my best boys Cinch and Cowboy or eating tacos in Mexico. I also just adopted a new Heeler family member, and his name is Cash. I have a large family and I am the third oldest out of six kids!

Elise

I was born and raised in the Napa Valley. I moved to San Diego 10 years ago. I have been in the veterinary field for 8 years now. I love being able to help animals and care for them as if they were my own. I have 3 fur babies of my own, a cat named Bebe and 2 dogs named Petrie and Cujo.

Amairani

I grew up around animals so being able to come to work every day and help them feel better is the best part of my day. By having a pittie pup of my own (Lyla), I understand the importance of being able to take your fur baby to a facility that you trust! I am grateful to be able to be a part of your pet’s health care.

Jessica

Hi! My name is Jessica. My family is originally from Budapest, Hungary. I was lucky enough to be born and raised right here in San Diego! I started working in the veterinary field from the age of 16 as a kennel technician until earning my degree in veterinary technology from PIMA Medical Institute in San Marcos. Shortly after, I spent a few semesters at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest where I ultimately decided that the tech life was the life for me! I have a special love for my feline friends especially my orange tabbies but our larger four legged companions will always have a special place in my heart as well. I have three wonderful fur/scaly babies at home. Cheddar (The gentleman) is my 8 year old orange tabby, Amira is my newest baby, who’s only a year old, and is a domestic long hair kitty, and last but not least my corn snake, William Shakesphere! After being in veterinary medicine for almost 10 years now I am excited to be taking my VTNE in the spring and becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Taylor – Lead ERA

I have always had a passion working with animals so I joined the veterinary field in 2015. Joining the MAHE team has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have had the opportunity to learn new things and truly enjoy going to work everyday. I love getting to cuddle with all the fur babies that come my way throughout my day. I am so glad to be a part of such a great team.

Ghazal

My parents are both RN’s which ignited my passion to join the medical field myself. That is why I pursued my masters degree in biomedical engineering from UCSD. With COVID-19 rampant, that field is currently focused on rapid testing, which is not the ideal route for me. I decided to pivot and start working with animals. With my medical background and my passion for furbabies, MAHE is the purrrfect fit for me.

Ally

Hi! I’m Ally, I am one of the nurses here at our Escondido location and I was born and raised in Santa Clarita, CA and moved to San Marcos for college in August 2021. I graduated from CSUSM in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. I have grown up around horses and dogs, and have always had a love for animals. I have worked as an equine ranch manager, and worked previously as a vet technician assistant at an equine hospital before moving to small animal medicine. I have 2 pets of my own, my horse, Ryder and my dog Bruno who were both rescues. I look forward to meeting and taking care of your fur babies here at Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido!

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I am an exam room assistant here at the Escondido location. I was born and raised in Southern California and I recently graduated from UCSD with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. After graduating, I was looking for a perfect fit for my first job out of college. I have always had a love for animals and I have my own fur baby at home. Her name is Kiwi, a spunky kitty who I rescued in 2015. I can easily say I found my perfect fit here at Mohnacky, where my new found love for animal care thrives. Mohnacky is truly a welcoming, loving place and I hope you find your perfect fit here too!

Ever since I can remember I’ve always had so many pets! From bunnies, hamsters, dogs, and reptiles. I currently have two fur babies, Penelope and Gigi. Working here at MAHE has been the best, knowing that I am part of a team who are dedicated to helping with your pet’s needs. As a CSR I look forward to providing exceptional customer service to ensure that your pet is in great hands.

My whole life, I have always been passionate about animals. I love being able to work with all of the fur babies. I have 2 pups myself, Thor and Odin and also a kitty, named Milo!

Amanda

I love getting to work with animals everyday! I have three beautiful fur babies, two pups and a kitty, Zoey, Harley and Turbo. I have worked on and off in the field since high school. I started as a kennel technician and worked my way up to being a vet assistant and now I am working as a customer service representative. I really enjoy being able to build relationships with our clients and their pets.

Growing up I always enjoyed learning about animals. I loved watching animal documentaries before going to school. Working at MAHE Has been a very satisfying experience and I love taking care of the boarders because of all their unique personalities. I have one dog at home named Zorro and he is my goodest boy.

Emily

I love being able to work with animals on a daily basis. I have 2 wonderful kitties and hope to add more to our family soon. I am committed to continuing education so I can help clients safely and properly care for their pets. I now have the privilege of caring for pets in a different way through ultrasound imaging. I love being able to assist our doctors with more diagnostic options as an ultrasound technician.
