Executive Director

Heather Grehan

Hi! I’m Heather, the Executive Director of our Escondido location! I was born and raised in a small town outside of Memphis, Tennessee and I have lived in Southern California for 8 years now. I love the west coast, the food, the beaches and the people are all a part of the reason I love being here. I have a passion for helping the community and have found my calling in the career of helping animals and pet parents. I strive to give superior customer service and enjoy educating clients on pet care. I have 2 fur-babies of my own, Oliver and Simon, both of which were rescued and hold a very special place in my heart. Here at Mohnacky, we are more than just a team, we are a family and we hope to make you feel a part of our family too!

Assistant Executive Director

Arielle

I grew up around animals so being able to come to work every day and help them feel better is the best part of my day! By having a Corgi dog of my own (Tootsie), I understand the importance of being able to take your loved one to a facility that you trust! I am so happy to be a part of such an awesome family!

Our Registered Veterinary Technicians

Christina, RVT

My name is Christina. I am the Director of Education and Training for Mohnacky Animal hospitals. I have been in the veterinary field since I was 16 years old working as a kennel tech. I eventually moved on to graduate from college with my Bachelor’s in Biology while also obtaining my RVT license. During this time I worked as a technician for multiple hospitals across North County. I later went on to get my Master’s in Biotechnology and moved into a formal teaching position where I taught vet techs for an AVMA accredited program for 4 years. My passion for animals and teaching has landed me here at MAH where I get to continue to help veterinary professionals grow in their careers.

Elizabeth

I’ve always had a strong bond with animals. Once I realized I wanted to help animals I started volunteering at animal shelters. I decided that I wanted to take my passion for animals and turn it into a career – I have a Veterinary Assistant certificate and am currently studying to become an RVT. I also have a passion for wildlife and have a wildlife handler’s certification. I can’t wait to help your furry family members and treat them as they are my own. I have two cats at home named Napoleon and Josephene who are my babies.

Lisa

Growing up in San Diego I always knew I had a passion for animals and when I got older I realized I wanted to turn that passion into a career. Here at MAHE I get that opportunity and I love helping everyone’s furry babies! I recently studied animal law and hope to become a RVT soon. At home I have a dog, Buddy and a tortoise named Dino.

Allison

Kailey

I’ve always been a big animal lover. I had horses, goats, dogs, and cats growing up. I have been in this field for 5 years and I am currently studying for the VTNE to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. When I am not working I am spending my time with my husband, my corgi mix named Cleo, and my new baby boy.

Chelsey

My name is Chelsey and ever since I can remember I wanted to work with animals. Being a vet tech makes me very happy to know I can help heal the hurt animals and bring life back into the sick animals. My passion for the vet world grows stronger every day, never a dull moment with our furry friends.

Our Exam Room Advocates

Bella

Being part of the Mohnacky team is both inspiring and fulfilling. I love having the opportunity to work with clients and their animals, helping give them the most comfortable and positive experience. We have so many adorable fur babies come through our door each day, and being able to give each of them love is the best! I also love going home to give my kitty, “Milo”. and puppy “Banks” tons of love.”

Taylor

I have always had a passion working with animals so I joined the veterinary field in 2015. Joining the MAHE team has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have had the opportunity to learn new things and truly enjoy going to work everyday. I love getting to cuddle with all the fur babies that come my way throughout my day. I am so glad to be a part of such a great team.

Bridget

I have loved being able to grow up with an array of animals such as dogs, cats, a hedgehog, and goats. My passion is to work with animals and hopefully become a veterinarian! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University and hope to apply to vet school this year. I have two cats at home and am currently feeding my love for animals by fostering through the San Diego Humane Society.

Ghazal

My parents are both RN’s which ignited my passion to join the medical field myself. That is why I pursued my masters degree in biomedical engineering from UCSD. With COVID-19 rampant, that field is currently focused on rapid testing, which is not the ideal route for me. I decided to pivot and start working with animals. With my medical background and my passion for furbabies, MAHE is the purrrfect fit for me.

Kennel Attendant

Erik

Growing up I always enjoyed learning about animals. I loved watching animal documentaries before going to school. Working at MAHE Has been a very satisfying experience and I love taking care of the boarders because of all their unique personalities. I have one dog at home named Zorro and he is my goodest boy.

Gabriel

I have always had an attachment for animals. I’d consider myself a dog person, but the feline friends are just as adorable. There’s always been a dog in the household. I was born in Santa Clara, California and raised in San Diego. Working for MAHE is not only fruitful but also an absolute honor. Outside of work you will catch me either at the beach or on a Brazilian Jiu-jistu mat.

Client Liaison

Joeie

My name is Joeie and I am a Client liaison for MAHE. I’ve lived in California all my life. When I was in high school, I was a member of the FFA (The future farmers of America.) This program provided me with all the abilities to train and raise a guide dog for the blind. I have always loved and cared for animals since I was a little girl. My main focus is to provide your animals with the best care possible. Thank you for welcoming me into the Mohnacky Family.
