Michelle Pryor Bouchard, DVM
Michelle Pryor Bouchard, DVM was born and raised in Oceanside, California. She studied at San Diego State University and continued on to reach her childhood dreams of becoming a veterinarian on the beautiful island of Grenada at St. George’s University. After completing her clinical year of training at Auburn University in Alabama in 2016, she returned to San Diego. Dr. Pryor has a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care, and surgery.
Dr. Pryor strives to form a meaningful connection with each and every patient and client. She loves nothing more than creating a comfortable positive space in which your furry family can get the care that they need for a lifetime. Dr. Pryor shares her life with 3 dogs- a corgi, a Victorian bulldog, and a mixed breed, two cats (who are her entire world) – and her wonderful husband.
Tessa Sghiatti, DVM
Tessa Sghiatti, DVM, cVMA, was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, and then her DVM from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!). She is a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist and enjoys providing comfort and improving the wellbeing of her patients through needling, electroacupuncture, laser, and massage. Her interests include integrative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her loving felines named Kitty and Melvin.
She is passionate about animals and their owners. Dr. Sghiatti believes the human-animal bond is invaluable and is dedicated to helping owners achieve the best care for their pets.
Dr. Sghiatti is excited to work with her team and provide exceptional care for her patients at Mohnacky Animal Hospitals.
Bethany Kulczewski, DVM
Bethany Kulczewski, DVM was raised in Portland, Oregon. She studied biochemistry at Smith College in Massachusetts and then went on to earn her veterinary degree at St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her clinical year of training at Cornell University in upstate New York and immediately moved to sunny southern California to pursue her duel passions of companion animal medicine and beach volleyball.
Dr. Kulczewski is excited to join the Mohnacky family and form strong connections with her clients and patients. She is particularly interested in dermatology, dentistry and preventative care medicine. In her free time, she plays volleyball and spends time with her wonderful boyfriend and mixed breed dog, Ellie.
Savanna Yager, DVM
Savanna Yager, DVM joined the MAHC team in June 2021. Growing up in a family that bred English Cocker Spaniels for conformation and hunting, Dr. Yager developed a passion for veterinary medicine at an early age. She studied Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, and completed undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Biotechnology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After 10 years away from San Diego studying medicine, she is excited to be back in the city she grew up in.
Dr. Yager’s primary areas of interest include Reproduction, Behavior, Internal Medicine, and client communication/service. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know clients, their pets, and watching puppies grow into adults at their full potential.
Dr. Yager loves dogs and shares her home with a Great Dane, Cane Corso, Siberian Husky, and a German Shepherd Mix. In her free time, she enjoys training her dogs for competition including obedience, scent tracking, and conformation. She spends as much time as possible outdoors and enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, camping, and fire spinning.
Erica Lapari, DVM
Erica Lapari, DVM is a second generation veterinarian born in Montreal, QC, Canada. She moved to California at a young age and grew up working at her mother’s veterinary practice learning veterinary medicine from the bottom up. Dr. Lapari earned her Bachelor of Science with a minor in Animal Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo, and attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.
Dr. Lapari is a Fear Free Certified practitioner with an emphasis on low stress office visits and a passion for animal behavior and training. She specializes in feline medicine, nutrition, behavior, and preventative care. Dr. Lapari enjoys forming connections with clients and learning about everyone’s unique and wonderful pets. Dr. Lapari has two cats and two dogs of her own who she loves to spend time with. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, paddle-boarding and snowboarding, and loves participating in canine obedience, trick, and agility competitions with her dogs.
